As the name suggests, the floor is heated, which warms the home.  Pipes, which are run through the flooring, circulate heated water throughout the floor, warming the air above.  This eliminates cold floors and maintains the home at a constant temperature.

This heating method is very efficient and is a true luxury, without high operating  costs.

These photos show the pipes before concrete is poured over them.  The concrete can then be covered in any type of flooring desired, including carpeting, laminate, wood, or tile.
